Was a caregiver to a partner with stage IV brain cancer. After that I made vaccine for a living.
I feel like it’s the button meme where people are struggling to choose between that sweet, sweet endorphin rush of a good old fashioned CIA conspiracy-off and the rather obvious output of a simple “A+B=C” chain of logic that says it’s us betraying allies yet again.

Yup. And then his fault that the promise to protect those who helped us from the Taliban was not honored and we are deporting them and their families back there in a trickle.

Betrayed them twice and everyone acts like “nah, bruh, it’s MK Ultra again!”

Seriously, I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Everyone just seems to have memory holed just how particularly badly this country betrayed the Afghans who volunteered to fight the Taliban with us. That choice has made the war permanent for all of them. Thanks to trumpy.

It drives me crazy that people see CIA and get horny to make it into some ‘super weapon man gone mad’ when it’s yet another example of America breaking its promises, only this time that infidelity can and will lead to the deaths of Afghans who put themselves in danger to help us.

He’s a result of promising someone you’ll have their back if they make themselves and their family a target for the Taliban to help us. Only to have us abandon them in a Saigon-like disaster.

And then breaking the promise that they could come here to avoid execution in the country we broke.

My favorite was one of those “family dog finds family after long journey after he gets left behind when the dad, an NFL punter, gets traded to Denver and they move in haste” plots and they moved INTO a house that had Birds of Paradise growing in the front yard. lol

I was very impressed by how Murder She Wrote looks like Maine beachfront town

Of course not, but we should ever strive to charge all war criminals. I cannot expect perfection, I expect that they always prosecute war crimes and never allow them to become government policy.

This is just a line from a Will Ferrell movie that has slipped the bonds of fiction to walk the earth unopposed
