Weird cloud behind Mt Majura.

Anyone know anything about clouds? If it's of any use, it was very hot here today (35°C) and I'm at 500m above sea level.

Horrified but transfixed, we watched as the wasp speedily nipped off all the spider's legs, leaving them in a grisly pile and heaving away its body into the bushes to finish its work.

And so now you know that as frightening as you are to a spider, you are nowhere near as terrifying as a wasp.

Turns out female spider wasps like to lay their egg in the body of a spider for their larva to feed on as it matures.

The wasp was about 2cm, so in order for her to take the spider back to her nest, she set about dismembering the spider.

Keen to grab a copy but I'm a bit confused when I search as there is another version with a different subtitle? Are they different editions?

More aerobatics!

This is the main positive I have to report from #summernats.

Going through some old photos and found this photo I took of a canary that looks like Trump.

I'm sure there's a joke here somewhere...

Nesting season for sulphur-crested cockatoos and this tree has a great hollow that there was a bit of argy-bargy over this afternoon. Took a tonne of photos, but here are some highlights. You can imagine the noise... But if you're not familiar: https://youtu.be/62kBystcpOg?si=MlogDN8pnEqPfek5
