Most software are more insecure than most people would be comfortable with if they knew. It's only because most apps are closed sourced and data leaks don't happen every day that people don't realise

Nah The Economist is ass, a lot of its articles are purely to reaffirm the views of its readership. You're better off sticking to the FT and specialised journals like Africa Intelligence (which is a tier above the FT)

I made a post recently about an interview Sakai did which is really helpful at outlining his intentions with Settlers. Sakai is sloppy as a historian (since he's just an activist), Gerald Horne's works are a better sourced and formulated version of Sakai's arguements

Kinda cool that Sakai did an interview where he explained his motivations for writing Settlers, as well as tackling some of the biggest misconceptions about the book, that is seemingly never brought up when discourse about Settlers restarts
