me when I turn on my computer to find that the UUIDs of my partitions have magically changed due to a package update from yesterday and now my machine doesn't boot

I like fedora because of how seamless it's updates are. That & it's pretty stable. I used to use arch for a few years so I guess anything is more stable than that
