I guess they forgot about Prometheus's punishment for his hubris: He was chained by Zeus to rock for all eternity to have his liver eaten by an eagle and by the next morning the liver regenerates to go through it all again. Eventually Hercules saved him, but Prometheus is not a symbol of triumph.
