This is called "Mom's Cheesecake" from a 1983 Boise cookbook. graham cracker crust and sour cream topping.

It's been chilling overnight. Not for the diet conscious. Happy Thanksgiving from the burbs.

His lordship's patience is wearing thin.
Omar: "We playing catch the wiggly thing or not?!"
Me: "Coffee! Need coffee, first."

I was in grade school when the nun told the class President Kennedy was shot. Kids were crying. The nun had us recite the rosary.

Across the hall kids screamed. Their science program was interrupted by the TV bulletin. This was my mother's memorabilia of that time.

Everything changed forever #JFK

Fall color from October to November at Morris Hill Cemetery. Local residents in this gated community remain silent through the seasons.

Couple days ago, the world was feeling a bit heavy. Then a really cute FedEx guy delivered this incredibly beautiful floral bouquet. 💐 A very thoughtful surprise from my cousin some 2,400 miles east.

💜💚💛 So grateful she's in my life.
Thanks, cuz.

This is Brutus. He's been helping himself to the doorway buffet for at least a year now. Instead of his usual dine and dash, he sat for an unusually long time while I talked to him.

He's likely been abandoned. In an uncustomary gesture, he took a long stretch in front of me.

This #Caturday Omar gets to sample some grass. I bought the kit 11 days ago, and it's sprouting like crazy.

Omar's seriously indulging. News from the burbs.

Bright red needles carpet the ground under a row of trees that line the pond in Boise's Ann Morrison Park.

Fall colors come alive along both banks by the Boise River. The gray skies and light rainfall offer a pleasant feel to the day.

I debated whether or not to display my veterans flag, but decided to put it out. The ship was really, really old long before I was aboard her at age 18. Strong enough to pull an aircraft carrier and plow through wild ocean storms.

Happy Veterans Day from the burbs.

Within 8 weeks, there is basil. Back in mid-Sept., a friend sent this kit to me. I was doubtful it would grow, but surprise, surprise, surprise (Gomer inflection) it's doing nicely. 🌱
