Hey. I'm Bubbs, a digital/comic artist. It'd be pretty cool if you wanted to hang out.

I suppose my being able to forget sometimes is indicative of a level of privilege, as I'm sure there are many who can't enjoy that ignorance from time to time.

We still have work to do, is what I'm saying, even in our "safe places". They may not be all that safe for everyone.

Even in the original post, my question was why the abuser was the most compelling character to them. There's other characters that, while also evil, haven't committed just about the worst thing you can do to a person. But you want to parade around as the r*pist...?

Weird.

"It's just fiction" is a terrible argument, but I haven't the word count to dissect that.

As I have said in a reply, there's nothing wrong with finding a morally corrupt character interesting. The problem comes with IDOLIZING the character to the point where you want to dress up and act like them.

"Guys, the sexual predator looks really cool AND he's not JUST a sexual predator! There's so much more to him and all you can focus on is how he r*pes people! Guyyyyyyssss!!!!!!"

BTW, the original caption was something like "In The Hand Of A God" but that's way less funny

It's totally fine to like horrible fictional characters, because they can often be very interesting and entertaining even if you don't co-sign their actions. The issue comes with idolizing them and/or woobifying them. That shit is weiiiiird.

Hahahahahahaha

He. He is. Getting there. Maybe.

Yeah. That's fine. I do care about the fandom, though, cos I like to be a part of it. Just cos you don't care doesn't mean it's cute to tell other people they're wrong for caring, dingus.

Regardless, idk what your goal is here. I'm not gonna change my mind, and I don't see why you give a darn about whether or not I do? You're just barking up the wrong tree.

Maybe give it a rest. I'm not above blocking people for just being annoying lmao

Even if this wasn't the case, I must reiterate, the fandom being toxic, anti-critique, and capable of really fucked up harassment wasn't the reason I gave up. It was the failings of the show itself. The fandom being toxic just makes it easier to cut ties.

I am so tired of seeing this argument. Maybe community doesn't matter to you, but it does to me. Part of the joy I get from engaging with a piece of media I love is engaging with other people that ALSO love that media. When the people doing it are really fucking toxic, yeah. It's a bummer.

When an SA victim is the butt of the joke, yes? Wtf? Who wouldn't be?

There is a way to joke about sensitive topics, and what they did was make something incredibly insensitive AND triggering. Yeah, I'm against that.
November 1, 2025 at 5:15 AM
It doesn't, and it also isn't what I said. I said I gave up because of the show and how the show has been and currently is. The fandom being so insanely toxic, anti-critique, and hateful is just a cherry on top, lmao.
November 1, 2025 at 1:40 AM
The criticism isn't that it is not funny. The criticism is that this is an escalation of the mishandling of an extremely sensitive topic and treating it insanely sloppily that was already criticized heavily for the last season and they had a chance to improve.
