Watched me new #muppetshow last night. It’s not like I ever found the Muppets hilarious or anything, but I can’t explain why it makes me feel so…comfortable and at ease.

So the US basically just blasted its way in to a neighbor, kidnapped a sitting head of state and his wife, and left an entire country leaderless after pirating their vessels for weeks now.
Are we winning yet? Is -this- the US that Americans want it to be? Russia but western? #venezuela

Hey y’all, check your packages this time of year.

My family did gift exchange tonight due to schedules, and my mom got me a very nice iPad Air. When she ordered it in October, she saw the shipping box was sealed and just wrapped it.

I'd be concerned if they didn't. Notre Dame and Miami were in direct competition for a limited spot, and ND is not a football member of the ACC. It'd be dereliction of duty to not promote their school over ND in the CFB playoff.

AD: ACC social media campaign 'targeted' Irish
Notre Dame AD Pete Bevacqua says the ACC engaged in a "targeted" social media campaign against the school's football team for College Football Playoff consideration.

The 49ers are so snakebit by injuries, I'm starting to wonder if they built every single one of their facilities on graveyards or something. #tnf #49ersVsRams

Man, if I was the lawyers for the company that makes Tylonol, I'd be foaming at the mouth about all the lawsuits I was about to file.

I've written this post, and then I've deleted it. As a public scholar, I walk the line of commentary and inviting trouble. I don't believe I've done it, but in these times, I don't know.

This is my diagnostic of internet culture, algorithms, & violence.

Quick, what are the tired old lines the far right like to trot out whenever firearms bans come up after school shootings? I just wanna see what they say when they have those arguments turned back in their faces. www.cnn.com/2025/09/04/p...

Everyone in the Bluniverse is trashing on Cracker Barrel and I’m just sitting here thinking “but I like their pancakes and bacon.” Y’all, it’s just a logo. It doesn’t need to be a whole thing.

Pardon? As far as I can tell, Kevin Sorbo and Scott Bain haven’t been taking acting jobs in California for well over a decade now.

I rather like having a character limit. It forces me to keep my posts short and to the point. One the biggest annoyances I have is when people are obscenely verbose in their social media posts. Really, there’s no need to bloviate about Candlejack so much that you lose sight of the original goal pur

If you're roadtripping in an EV, use @chargepointnet.bsky.social , or Superchargers with a non-Tesla membership, wherever possible. Both are more than half the price per KWh than @evgostock.bsky.social . $150 a day in DC fastcharge costs for a two-day road trip is goddamn insane.

Remember: DEI is not about giving jobs to minorities over more-qualified white applicants because of skin color.

DEI exists because we culturally have a habit of giving jobs to white applicants over more-qualified minorities because of skin color.
