I love the Haka but England "challenging" the Haka is just as great.

I prefer this. Then in possession you've got Wirtz and Szoboszlai who can free roam, full backs create and hold the width whilst you have 2 players sitting to cover. OOP becomes a 4411 if you want to drop a striker onto a no. 6 or a 442 to occupy CBs.

This is how I'd line up currently (until Frimpong and Alisson are back)

Wirtz and Szoboszlai would be a bit more narrow with license to roam whilst the full backs can provide the width which is natural to them all the while Jones and Gravenberch provide a better rest defence. OOP 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1

You can see why arsenal are favourites for the league despite doing what Liverpool did Vs Newcastle and losing to Liverpool managing only 1 shot on target and play poor Vs city and united to?

Yeah they're really clear favourites....

From an article in the athletic with shots on target data from opta themselves. Liverpool conceded 9 shots on target before today.

Via BBC on top of that.
Bournemouth - 3
Newcastle - 3
Arsenal - 1
Everton - 2
Burnley - 0

It's also still against the norm to concede such a % from so little.

Just going to leave this here. This country needs migrants.

With all the articles about PSR and how Liverpool might be able to afford such a summer window, it's pretty evident that they probably aren't the club to be looked at considering they've recouped a large portion (with more incomings/outgoings to come)

Especially when you look at united and arsenal

Pretty damning but let's be honest here, Liverpool won't take Trent back. He's burned his bridges with the training comments etc.

This little graph is incredibly interesting by the athletic.

It sort of explains why Liverpool go big then go quiet to then go big again.

They effectively keep amortisation down by cycling transfer window outlays

From the athletic and tbh I'm not that worried regards to contracts. I don't think Trent signs but outside of that really how many of these stay regardless long term? Likely only Konate, Jones, Elliott, Bradley, Nyoni, McConnell.

Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Mac, Quansah are all beyond 2028
