Jeez Tom Cotton continues to give off "serial killer" vibes. The people of Arkansas vote him back in overwhelmingly every six years.

So this is 72 hours a day of "free" airtime, some of which is obviously taken up by event coverage, but still groups like AEI are ready to fill up any void times available. I mean, at least some portions of crazy CPAC weekends (shudder) are put on live.

The Republicans make sure that as many conservative "Institute, Foundation, Action Committee", etc. group (or GOP subcommittee) is covered on C SPAN. Turn on one of the three channels almost any hour of any day, and there is either live or taped coverage of them. They do this ALL the time.

Russia: Well those Ukraine girls really knocked us out, they leave the west behind...

Being seated with 250 other passengers for 5 hours at 40,000 feet, a double Bloody Mary and free pretzels seemed "healthy enough" to me, at the time. ( I'm glad I did all those trips so long ago, and I'm glad I don't have to do them again.)

And if these health care companies make obscene profits, as was pointed out by several GOP senators a few weeks ago during the shutdown, maybe the government could provide a competitive entity, to provide an "option" for the public?

That is an incorrect statement about Article II Section 4.

"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Each position is a separate entity.

We can't prevent people from buying houses, even corporations, but maybe it's time to revisit the tax code and restructure write offs, profits and losses, etc. unless it's an owner occupied home. We already have some rules in place in the tax code designed to encourage this type home ownership.

My worst memories of the 1960's L.A. smog when I lived in the suburbs were the shortness of breath due to the sulphur dioxide (SO2) in the smog. Sharp, painful breathing by a kid just bike riding on a summer day. Regulations reduced much of the SO2, so even smoggy days are better now than then.

You can just picture the Tommy Chong like character in the late 60's (my teens) saying "never trust anyone over 30", but that continues to this day to be pretty solid advice.

Just amazing to me that these brash, know-it-all types on these financial shows don't realize they are being humiliated in real time by the economic frauds (Hassett, Bessent, Lutnic) of the trump administration.

Close call with Simon and Garfunkel's best album, (Bookends) Chicago's second best (Chicago Transit Authority was their best) and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, (not quite as good as Crosby, Stills and Nash the year before). This album pointed out how hard it was to be a teen growing up.

Resentful that people are provided accommodations to have a successful, fulfilling life, by people who didn't need accommodations and still failed (in their own eyes) to achieve a successful, fulfilling life. No matter how many people you hurt, you cannot cure your own resentments.

I did not remember her without going to IMDB, and still barely do. But in all fairness, there were a half dozen characters (or so) played by a half a dozen actors (or so) who took up all the oxygen in every scene they were in.

Well. I was going to give your post a ❤️ but didn't wan't it to go to your head. You know, a couple of them should be enough for anyone. Really, thanks for being here!

If part of the results of your plan involved you being here now, then of what use was the plan? (Apologies to Anton Chigurh)

A simple statement that I first saw on LGM was basically "roast chicken is always better that roast turkey". That statement still holds up and of course suggests there are many things better than either.

Good to remember that "most" of us know very little about how big cities work. How and why and when do all those people get around? I see big rigs moving stuff around on our freeways, but how do they get all that "stuff" in to all those people. It sounds like a lot of management is required.

They also use their platforms to venerate the common man, midwest values, the heartland, etc. But the middle of the country is filled with "try that in a small town" towns, and they wouldn't live there if you paid them.

With that many people exododing, there's bound to be some disruption!
I know very little about city living, but Mamdani certainly seems to, and his ideas sound reasonable to me. New York City will survive whatever the results of his policies are: New Yorkers are famously resilient.

No question the Dodgers "bought" their starting pitching, and their future HOF top of the lineup, but anybody could have picked up Rojas, Muncy or Kike, all timely heroes. (The Jays also got great play from some unknowns) Pages was drafted and developed. I believe Will Smith was created in a lab.

In Hawaii, because of traditional Hawaiian culture and the many others that followed, Auntie and Uncle are a respectful way to address an elder by anyone that's at least a few years younger.
