That game needed way more emotional gravitas on MANY fronts. It glossed over so many things including the fallout from Varric on Solas’ psyche. It’s one of the many, many reasons I’m still so bitter about it even a year later. I waited 10 for it to come out so *kanye shrug*
My biggest issue with Dragon Age: Veilguard *spoiler is that Solas needed to be more sorry about what he did to Varric. It doesn’t feel like it was addressed enough on Solas' side and that has always bothered me. Idk if it was to make him more cold or "bad" but he should have regretted it A LOT more
