The Rosette!

Such a delicate and expansive nebula that never ceases to amaze me! I’m super excited because I was able to get a beautiful shot in time to include it in my 2026 calendar! Check it out if you’re interested!

My backyard shot of the spaghetti nebula SH2-240, an enormous but faint supernova remanent. It makes me think of the flying spaghetti monster :P.

All month: The bright star Sirius rises from late evening at the start of the month and appears earlier each evening. When it is close to the horizon it often twinkles quite rapidly, which is a good time to practice your Sirius light trail skills. #Astrophotography

NGC 1333 also known as the Embryo Nebula is a reflection nebula in the constellation Perseus. It's roughly 967 light years away. This is 4h 35m of integration time. Seeing conditions weren't perfect so I'd like to come back during a new moon. #astrophotography #photography

Winter storm is on the way, but first we get a clear shot of the beautiful gibbous moon, just floating there doing her thing. A contemplative sight above the snow-dusted meadow.

Haven't seen a lot of posts about the Luminous Red Nova AT2025abao in M31 on here, so I thought I give it a try and 2 days ago weather cleared up just long enough to get a bit of #Astrophotography data. I was really surprised that it was visible even in single subs.

So I have my first mono astro cooled camera. I was able to pick it up used from a club member. So now a whole new adventure begins. My first night out I targeted IC 1848 Soul Nebula. In post I created two versions: SHO and HOO. Lots to learn. Details in alt text #astrophotography #colorado
