I worked so hard to get rid of my southern drawl when we moved to Illinois when I was a kid. Been regretting it for almost as long as it's been gone.

Cases like this are why the death penalty should be entirely abolished. If the state can't play by it's own rules, it just flatly should not have the authority to take life. And the state seemingly *never* plays by the rules in capital cases.

It shouldn't be done at all, but if we're going to empower the state to take a life the absolute least they owe us is full transparency when they do.

It's not a dungeon, it's a crypt. But not, like, a cool, old one full of past presidents and zombies. It was added because Stephen Miller needed a place to keep his coffin because no one would invite him into their rental properties in or around DC.

At my job we have monthly lunches where we spin a wheel and order from some random local place. Our salaries are hidden somewhere in the packaging. Sadly, after The Incident, we decided we can't order soups or stews anymore, but otherwise I just assumed this is how working professionals get paid.
