My first thought is that there might be some incentivization balance challenges. Optimization on the horizon choo-choo.

But that's just my first thought~

I like it!

It really showed you the pointlessness of damage die. Narrative or Static Numerical results seems like a better choice. Too much randomness ends up bogging down play.

Roll for Effect seems much better to me.

Because scaling effect is just a more elegant system.

It does add a level of detail to the combat system that I find often detracts from the rest.

At one point I tried a Grim & Gritty D20 Modern Hack that added the Effect (TN-Result) to the damage of an attack.

Ex. Shoot a .22 @ AC 12 and roll a 18 is +6 to damage.

It was great...

Another trait that can emerge from antisociality is unrealistic expectations.

Expectations that can lead to volatility and meltdowns by the antisocial person; sometimes to the point of being hazardous.

The blurring of reality is a fond pastime of the species. I suspect because "working together is hard sometimes."

But yeah, AI is definitely triggering psychosis. Still, Americans have been psychosisedging for like 100 years.

That isn't what I meant. I know that life-threatening trauma is often linked to our condition, but that does not mean you should try and normalize it. It broke you. It will break others, too.

The world should be less broken, not more.

Breaking things is how we got here.

Double Standards are fun. Moving the goalposts on you to manipulate the outcome, perhaps to keep you off balance or away from a specific thing?

That's certainly exhausting, though.
