Bowling With Corpses was fun, creepy, and stylish. Maybe a little too scattershot for what I was in the mood for.

I just finished Charles Stross's The Fuller Memorandum and loved it.
Next for Sci-fi June, Ghost Station by S. A. Barnes.

It was fine. I think I'm going to take a break from the series after this one. I had also started The Fuller Memorandum halfway through on my e-reader and was having a better time with that version of esp+espionage.

Next up, Joe Abercrombie's The Devils.

I've got the rough cut of my next lyric video done. Now for the polishing and eye-candy.

Operation: Buffalo Swap was a success. I think this was the last red-paged copy in Leesburg. I also picked up one from @ronaldmalfi.bsky.social while I was at the store.

And now I'd like to share one of my early attempts at making my own book cover.

Lots to love here... unreadable title, quirky font, the least appetizing popcorn presentation. Anyone able to guess the genre from this?
A plate of partially burned popcorn, with a kitchen knife on top, for some reason. There are puzzle pieces scattered around a dark tablecloth, as well as a couple of brass shell casings. A replica pistol is underneath the plate and mostly out of frame.

Mucho Mojo was a lot of fun overall. Good action, very twisty. A lot more slurs than I'm used to seeing.

Tentacles! A face! A bisected statue of Liberty! Oh goodness me. Hardcover art for the novel. Underneath the dust jacket is foil embossed A in rose gold or another reflective pink hue. There is a cool barbed wire motif on the first and last pages.

I recorded vocals and wrote lyrics for a good chunk of the day. Some for a new Sumptus song in the works, another will likely be a solo release.
Next comes the soul-shattering part where I have to listen back through all the takes and try not to delete everything.
A large diaphragm condenser microphone (Aston Origin), mounted on a complicated microphone stand with a pop filter, and reflection control baffle. The second pop filter behind it is just hanging out on a boom mic.
