In the hills above Ballachulish, I followed a stone wall into the forest. I came to a ruin with a path snaking away through the forest. Nearby was this deep cut in the forest floor with a stream flowing in it. I knew if I crossed, I was leaving our world.

I had to get up before breakfast for this one. Another photographer there said they had been to this spot dozens of times, hoping for decent light at sunrise. I can't wait to return to Wales this spring!
