also this was before UCF which fixes dashback polling which was the problem that led him to dq so this literally would never happen today- especially now that most top players are playing on phobs or rectangles which don’t have PODE at all.

putting it this way is really disingenuous tbh. armada’s main controller wasn’t an option so he had to use one that had pode-related dashback issues. it wasn’t a matter of not malfunctioning properly. it just wasn’t broken in right, like a baseball player having to use a stiff mitt fresh out the box
