If you force a 3 in that situation, you have about a 60-65% chance to win the game depending on who takes the shot. If you go to overtime you probably have a 75% chance of losing.
Just so we're all being ideologically consistent, everyone who said it was stupid to let Naji shoot an open 3 also thinks it was very good and wise to give Anthony Edwards a straight line drive to the rim for an easy 2.

I don't think the groin injury really changes much at all.
I think the most likely trade will be a team sending us a bad contract (Trae/Lamelo/Ja) and they most likely cut Zion, now or in the summer. Maybe we move them to a 3rd team.
The good thing is this is a trade that is very hard to botch.

Ace Bailey finishes at 62% true shooting on 19% usage in 14 games in November. He will turn twenty years old 9 months from now.
Bailey can play the Trey Murphy role from prior to this year on the Pels. It could be an interesting re-run of the Murphy experiment without a coach that would sit him for Garrett Temple.

The longer the regular season goes on, the more Jose's value declines. His value to a winning team is to eat regular season minutes pressuring the ball in the backcourt.
While Jose is healthy and shooting 48% from 3 would be a good time to shop him.

Maybe he's referring to the players deciding not to give effort on a given night, either from the opening tip or at some point during the game, because it really hasn't been one particular quarter that has been a problem for them

Pels should probably get Looney out of the starting lineup so he can play against backups, but that's probably what they are doing with Queen.

that may or may not have been a violation by Karlo, but the adjudication of the call and certainty of the answer was BS.
The NBA has to either say outright "we're relying 100% on tech to definitively make the call", or say "we can't tell in certain situations & we'll stick with the call on court."
