When our old rescue was in his last weeks the vet asked us, "Are you keeping him alive for his sake or for yours?". We euthanized him a few days later. Dogs don't know what's happening or why they're suffering and so they fight. It's our sad duty to help them. But I've hated it every time

Based on the scale of death threats received by elected or appointed officials who dare to criticize Trump I have to believe that each of these people are now doing the calculation that losing their re-election in 2026 is better than losing their life

Disagree. Crushing the education system four decades ago leading to generations of idiot voters was the mistake. We have the option of choosing reasonably intelligent and morally sound leaders but when 54% of people in the US read at or below the 6th grade level they choose liars like Trump
