The median adult reads at around a 6th grade level. That's the point where you're only just starting to understand nuance, can recognize sarcasm/unreliable narrator, take into account context.
Many aren't even to that level. Right wingers statistically more likely to be in that grade school range.

Yeah gerrymandering requires them to be confident about holding tighter and tighter margins. They did all this then saw some elections swing 65 points again them compared to the results they used to decide their new districts.
