The idea that a swastika, of all things, would no longer be recognized as a hate symbol really took my breath away. Astonishing.

*Removing it* is maybe 100x worse. Not as if they're refusing to add the ironic OK gesture; they're removing a symbol universally recognized as hateful for 90 years.

You've doing that throwback media coverage on Patreon, so I thought this was an old trailer for one of the movies I hadn't seen (which is all of them). Realizing there was a "2026" in the title made me physically pull back.

Mortifyingly proud

Kind of losing my mind at the games that did get nominated.

I don't want to defend anything Ring does, but in that instance wouldn't it be a matter of convenience instead of security? Being able to answer the door when you're not home, or on the toilet, or you're sick/disabled... Especially in a world of constant deliveries, I'd think security is secondary.

Even in this perfect vision where the AI is somehow helpful is pretty fucked. Comparing it to private security only underscores how access to these devices is routinely provided to actual law enforcement without a warrant. Now: even more sophisticated! And with no oversight!

I feel the same way about Star Trek V. It's infamous, but upon a recent re-watch of all the Trek movies it's obviously made on the cheap but is otherwise honestly fine.

Immediately reminds me of the "Project Gemstone" scene from White House Plumbers

A few "legitimate" sources are also weighing in

Epstein's brother sent email about Trump 'blowing' someone named 'Bubba'
Some people online claimed "Bubba" referenced Bill Clinton, but that hasn't been confirmed.

I know this isn't the point, but *why* does this segment have to be shot on a handheld camera with a fish-eye lens? Is there a risk that it will turn into a skateboard video from 2002?

Someone's definitely thinking about it, right? If Vance is sworn in after the midterms he'd (probably) be constitutionally eligible to run in 2028 and 2032.

I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the first President to adjourn congress.

Michael Wolff comes seems way too friendly with these people in the emails. It's quite disturbing, actually.

Joyce Carol Oates got his ass so badly that, days later, he's doing podcasts because of it.
