You may be correct, but the damage they have already done is going to take a generation to rectify. It isn't just this regime. There are many in the wings who brought the regime and our now-corrupt judicial system to power. They will still be around when Trump goes.

I hope some political operative puts to together a collage of Johnson's "I don't know about that" "I was in meetings all day" "I haven't been told about that" etc., for the 2026 elections. The man is as monotonous as he is compulsive with lies.

It's about money. As long as they benefit financially, the GOP (and even the Dems) are not going to change much. U.S. politics and the judicial system need a complete overhaul.
