Yeah being a luddite just means you are against the subservience and increased exploitation of labour by machines built not to lighten the worker's load but to increase capital's profit.

Okay, I did it! it was still frustrating but the thing I was missing was using the grappling hook to pull yourself forward even when there’s nothing to hit.

”okay i figured it out. Here’s my postdoctoral thesis“

Which, again, is no shade to the great people who appeared on those lists.

Ah yeah my toys used to tell me to light fires too, actually

idk maybe it's just because I took a long hiatus at the wrong time but it just feels so much sloppier and looser than every other bit of the game I've encountered before here. Ah well!

Yeah looking at a guide that sounds about right. Sadly I have not missed anything. But I will go back and get that flint-thingo at least if I don't already have it!

Maybe I've missed unlocking a shortcut or something idk
November 26, 2025 at 1:25 AM
I'll try those things, thanks! I keep going up over and around and then past the mimic laser chest there's the long icy water bit going left and it's real fiddly and seems like sudden death if you miss a jump and a long walk back each time to try again.

It’s where you get double jump, right? I haven’t missed it somewhere? The platforming is just so fiddly and unprecise and frustrating!

And equally, commiserations to anyone else who had a go at the annual Australian ECR funding Hunger Games but didn't beat the odd of a 13% success rate. 😫

The @albomp.bsky.social government continues the LNP's tradition of vastly underfunding the country's brilliant researchers. 🤦
