1. Remembering why we do live music & openers.

I walked into this show halfway through the local opener. He said, "This is about the worst call you can get on a Wednesday," and played this song.

I turned to my friends, tears in my eyes, jaw on the floor, and went, "You witnessed that too, right?"

2. Seeing Hotline TNT play a laundromat.

Will Anderson knows how to put on a show. He forced us to crowd into the tiny venue side of Dirty Dungarees, & he was right. He forced us to put away our phones after 3 songs, & he was right. It was loud. A pit opened up at the end of the show. 💯, no notes.

3. Every time "Dreams" by The Knocks/Dragonette comes on

This is my #1 played song this year and I will never not break into dance when I hear it. We need to make this song a dance floor/karaoke staple; I want to scream along to it with my friends.

4. Driving around the Polish countryside late at night in a van, a friend putting this song on for us for the first time, and the rest of us absolutely losing it over how many genres are packed into this re-imagining of a Polish folk song (and rinse & repeat for all the other songs on this record)

5. Finally seeing Turnstile live and understanding why @thebaltimorebanner.com is so obsessed with their hometown band.

It's a strange comparison, but seeing Turnstile is like seeing Bleachers: Every song is a banger, and the whole show is high-energy.

SO. FUN.
