Dogs, cats, scale models, barbecue, war reenacting. Happily married.
Sometimes, you find military antiques or classic vinyl records at thrift stores. Other times, you find futons that have been shat upon. I'm surprised this beaut hasn't found a home yet.

I can't feel my fingers, but that was a damn good hike. Time to go home and thaw out!

Winfield has reptilian-style eyes, while George's eyes are like little black pearls. They're named after generals, and they seem to magically appear any time I'm cleaning my muskets or rifles to "assist" !

My boys are on the same food!

Held the door for a dude coming out of the bank, complimented on his hat pins, and he gave me one of them. Fuck yes.

The cockpit for my MiG is complete. Used my Uncle Tom's old optic visors to prevent eyestrain. Blasted a large variety of tunes on the ol' 5 in 1. Attempts to sit in the rocker afterwards were thwarted by a cat. #histscalemodels #mig15 #winfieldscottthecat

Doughboys, dough for biscuits, snow and snowshoeing. My weekend in a nutshell.

This guy is going to be ten years old on New Year's Day and I want time to start slowing down.

The wife & I trimmed the tree last night. The dogs loved our work.

So here's some positive stuff. Winfield and Dolly assisted me in my quest to make more pizzas. We were successful in our endeavors. #detroitstylepizza

The wife & I had a blast at my work party this evening. The bar we were all at had these beauties in cans:

It ain't an Old Style, but it's the closest thing I can get to a Chicago Handshake here in WNY. Many thanks to my brother from another mother, Glenn, for securing the lager from the land of sky blue waters.

I don't even remember the last time I was this excited about stamps. And no, I don't collect stamps, but I am young enough to remember the 50th anniversary ones the USPS put out for the Normandy invasion back in 1994. Those were awesome and yes I am old.

Eyestrain be damned! Got these photo-etched metal pieces cut off, bent to shape, and then glued onto this little MiG of mine. Tools of the trade are in the second shot. One side of the cockpit is set. Winfield just clocked in at the biscuit factory, and I gotta hit the sack. #mig15 #histscalemodels

Mood: Somewhere between good and idgaf. Rocking the bathrobe and slippers look like an old man.

Music: "Return of the Loving Dead" by The Nekromantix.

Surroundings: In the shop blasting psychobilly records and working on a MiG-15. #histscalemodels #psychobilly #hadthisrecordforalmost20years

Designed for World War II, broke a record for long distance flight in 1947, and scored the first air-to-air kill in the Korean War in 1950. The North American F-82 Twin Mustang. Black Sabbath fans may notice a nod to "Never Say Die!" In the 3rd picture. This was a fun build! #histscalemodels #f82

I arrived home yesterday and was greeted by 2 of 3 dogs. "Where is your little sister?" I asked Wolfgang and Dolly. I already knew the answer, though. I stepped into the living room, switched on the lights, and was met by a groggy, grumbly Hazelnut who had just woke up. #dogs #furkids

Taking fully advantage of the unused conference room at work on my lunch break to do history nerd things. Got a ton of compliments on the fountain pen by passers-by.

Today has been the mother of all Mondays. It SUCKS. This photo was from Saturday. It ROCKED. Mondays should try harder to be like Saturdays. Or maybe I should go on hikes on Mondays, that'd make shit way better.
