I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

Nothing to see here, just basic Kavanaugh stops. Totally constitutional and minor impediments to living in President Stephen Miller’s dystopia.

State investigators have been on the scene in North Minneapolis.

I know you’re angry. I’m angry. What Donald Trump wants is violence in the streets.

But Minnesota will remain an island of decency, of justice, of community, and of peace.

Don’t give him what he wants.

Not surprising; the Miller administration is trying to foment urban unrest as the pretext for delaying elections or declare martial law.

Stop saying we shouldn’t impeach Nazis because they’ll be replaced by someone worse. We should never stop fighting to remove these evil monsters. Don’t obey in advance.

lots of political space to convert those “not sures” into somewhat supports and those “somewhat supports” into strongly supports on eliminating ICE. also, with a funding battle coming up, plenty of political space to say “no government funding unless we claw back last year’s new ICE funding”
This YouGov poll on ICE is really eye-opening. Public opinion has really swung against DHS/ICE and their terror regime.

We can hope, but Trump is intent on limiting our right to vote by every avenue possible.
Voting by mail is safe, trackable, and encourages high turnout. Washington helped pioneer vote-by-mail, and our voters have used it to participate in our democracy for years. I hope this ruling will stop those who would undermine our elections or make it harder to vote.

“Minnesota nice” > ICE
They hate Minnesota because we are a people who believe that "we all do better when we all do better."

Minnesota is one of the wealthiest, safest, and cleanest states in the country *because* of our openness and generosity.

Our quality of life is a direct challenge to their zero-sum worldview.

I think Trump may be the only
person drinking his kool-aid.

He declares a deal (“We sort of formed a deal.”) after everyone else in the room stayed silent.

And in his deal, oil tycoons spend $100 billion while we, the taxpayers, open our checkbooks to protect them

Seems clear that leadership of the goon squad is telling them to “teach Americans a lesson,” with that lesson being might makes right and constitutional rights are just words on paper.
A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

Thank you Senator Cantwell. Continue the effort to have Congress recover its Constitutional responsibilities.
President Trump's actions in Venezuela have set a dangerous precedent. It's certainly not worth U.S. blood to commandeer oil that is not going to lower prices at the pump. My hope is Republicans will continue to join Democrats in reasserting the role of Congress.

Thank you Senator. It is well past time to see if Congress is a co-equal branch of government with the powers to tax and impose duties, regulate commerce with foreign nations, impeach, declare war, and passing laws which the POTUS must faithfully execute.
To my Republican colleagues, the Vice President is spitting in your face and openly flouting your constitutional authority.

Time to decide if you came here to be a Member of Congress or a cheerleader for whatever Trump wants.

SECRETARY KRISTI NOEM MUST RESIGN.

She has repeatedly lied to the American people, and after the shooting of Renee Nicole Good, she called her a “domestic terrorist.”

Disgraceful. Renee was a U.S. citizen, mother of three, and had just dropped off her son at school.

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

No one who cares has forgotten. Many who do not, never even cared to begin with. The “Deep state” for them only ever meant Democrats.
Samuel Alito flew two flags used by insurrectionists.

Clarence Thomas' wife plotted to overturn the 2020 election.

Both justices refused to recuse themselves from SCOTUS cases related to the January 6th plot.

It's a stain on our nation that this has effectively been forgotten.

Democratic leadership badly fumbling the response so far. Shocking right?
They’re denouncing Trump but it’s usually around the sixth paragraph. Enough throat clearing. The president is out of control and the opposition party needs to act like it.

Indeed!! We are in absolutely no danger of running out of funds for Social Security. We have long ago run out of leadership to tax the wealthiest.
