This is what I've been saying!! The gmail misinfo from twt got way out of hand way too quick. The 'smart features' in your Inbox are not the same as the 'smart features' in your Workspace.

Turn off Gemini, not your inbox sorting! 🫶
Message from Breadsticc on Discord. Smart features is what allows your inbox to be auto sorted into Inbox, Promotions, Updates, and Social. It's different from Workspace smart features. Having the normal Smart features on is fine, its Workspace smart features you want to go into and turn off Gemini. The second misinformation is a bit of fearmongering caused by highlighting "without permission" so that everyone ignores the first part of the sentence which says they *dont* use the data without permission.

the reason 101 dalmations looks like that is because disney incorporated xerography (ie early photocopying technology) into the animation process. rough pencils (by mostly male animators) were copied onto the cels so that disney could fire the (mostly female) inkers. remember that art can lie to you

I get gen-AI-written emails lately on top of the usual scam ones, which feels extra bad cuz they look more convincing.

Some things to watch for:

🚩 Overly specific w flattery, but overly vague w what they want from you
🚩 Repeats long online summaries/keywords verbatim like it’s their own thoughts

If a prospective client is:

🚩 pushy/tries to rush your response time early on
🚩 insists on paying via cashier’s check
