I agree that FPTP needs to go. However compulsory voting would only work if there is a none-of-the-above choice on the ballot. If that is chosen then there would need to be a by election with different candidates.

There is no way in a rational political system that the politicians should be allowed to make the rules, especially around elections. That is like letting the players on the winning team make up the rules while the game is being played.
