At 3 a.m., I was willing to take the chance.

I had exactly this problem with another smoke detector in the house. In this instance, I took it down, took it out to my garage, and smashed it to bits with a hammer.

I actually got up, went out to the garage and got the ladder, and changed the damn battery like a grown ass adult. And then never got back to sleep. And because I am a night owl, rather than a morning person, I am now presently running on about four hours of sleep.

Y'know, like, with bone saws and stuff.

There actually isn't much involved in the Ewoks that would require Henson-type finesse--they're mostly costumes and masks, as designed by Stuart Freeborn, who also had a hand in designing Yoda, though that *still* doesn't make the Ewoks a cross-pollenated Henson project.

The only Henson-related creation for Star Wars was Yoda, which had the direct involvement of Jim himself.

There were some Henson-affiliated performers involved with Jabba the Hutt, like Toby Philpott--though Jabba, similar to the Ewoks, wasn't a Henson-related creation.

The Ewoks were not Henson-related creations.
