Tomorrow is a national protest day in the US. Protests are organized at the White House and state capitals, but if you can’t find an event or time that works for you, go when and where you can. If there is no event organizer, you are the event organizer. Announce it below,👇 hashtags #3E #USProtests

Elon Musk’s staffers are still attempting to manipulate the Treasury payment system to halt the flow of funds following their recent losses. Reminder: U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly has restricted DOGE’s read-only access. No one is above the law.

The US Government Is Not a Startup
Elon Musk is moving fast and breaking things that can’t afford to be broken.

This is morally indefensible and strategically bankrupt. It’s just letting people die on purpose and it makes us weaker in every way.
Mind-boggling wreckage. Among the lifesaving programs now disrupted by Elon’s attack on @USAID: phase 1 trials for a possible HIV vaccine.

Outside of USAID headquarters, Senator Brian Schatz:

"If you want to change an agency, introduce a bill and pass a law. You cannot wave away an agency that you don't like or that you disagree with by executive order, or by literally storming into the building and taking over the servers."

honestly think some of the hesitation here is that no one wants to sound like a crank. i was talking at an event last night and even i felt like a crank while i was speaking!
What if there were a coup, the US government fell to a drug-addled oligarch who seized control of our money, secrets, and levers of power, and Corporate media did not report on it?

NEW, the abbreviated (and punched up) @RollingStone version of my story today about Elon Musk's efforts to take control of the Treasury's payment system. www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...
Elon Musk's Attempt to Control the Treasury Payment System Is Incredibly Dangerous
Donald Trump and Elon Musk could use sensitive Treasury information to punish their enemies — or they could break America’s payment system entirely.

Just spitballing, but things that could happen today:
*Court injunction protecting USAID
*Dems demand hearings on Musk's role
*Someone introduce articles of impeachment
*Dem officeholders go to USAID offices with USAID workers
*Refuse to conduct any more Senate confirmations until this is resolved

This is not just a "pause." It is an unlawful destruction now.

Foreign aid is a cornerstone of national security with diplomacy and defense. USAID's work reaches 100s of millions worldwide and America will be harmed.

Here are some of the lives at stake.
I ran @USAID health programs for the last 3 years. Trump’s 90 day Stop Work Order on foreign assistance does serious damage to the world and the US. Examples:🧵

New from me: Musk and his allies seem to be doing another thing common with tech startups in their government takeover--hiring very young technical talent. We identified several those young people who appear to have very high access.
