How2shared clinical decision making for wearing a respirator mask to avoid Long COVID:

Do you have blood vessels?

1. Yes. Wear a N95 or greater.
2. No, or unsure. You may be a corpse, or you can take a pulse. Go back to 1.

Leaving out wearing N95/99/100, P2/3, FFP2/3 & clean indoor air standards as modifiable risk factors is peculiar & perplexing, given their much higher effect & similar or lower effort & cost comparatively.
Multi-layered risk reduction(s) enhance & increase individual & collective intervention(s).

Is water really wet, though?
/s
Yes of course, clean the air: ventilate, filter, wear respiratory PPE, test, trace, isolate. Tie your shoes, wear warm clothes if cold, use umbrella or hood if raining, buckle seatbelt, etc.

Is water wet? Here's why scientists aren't sure | BBC Science Focus
Depending on your definition of wetness, water could be described as wet but it can also cause wetness without being classed as wet itself.

The hazard risk is negligible if all parties are wearing well fitting N95 & meeting outdoors or in high filtration environment as far as SARS-2 is concerned.

Fit-Tested N95 Masks Combined With Portable High-Efficiency Particulate Air Filtration Can Protect Against High Aerosolized Viral Loads Over Prolonged Periods at Close Range
Only a fit-tested N95 mask provided protection against virus aerosol; surgical masks and non-fit-tested N95 masks were not superior to no-mask control. The

I've tried a couple free OpenStreetMap apps.
Magic Earth works about as well as Google Maps did around 10 years ago or so. Turn off the speed alert in settings, if only because of distraction factor & sound clutter.

Relevancy is because both vaccine preventabl named diseases are airborne spread, i.e. transmission occurs from aerosolized pathogen within exhaled particles from breathing out & carried in the air, lingering for hours.

Baggy surgicals may also be sealed by using an external mask brace.* For the dentist, I use a Readimask, but I apply double-sided tape over the strips to fashion a nose mask hack.

There is no legitimate use case for those surgical mask that may not be better served by "surgical" grade dual certification (ASTM 3)N95 or equivalent like FFP2/3, P2/3, KN95/99, etc.

Long COVID is "likely" in frequency(~20% each infection & increased risk of 10% thereafter) and "significant" to "severe" in negative health outcomes.*
