So I support the deportation efforts. I know the methods can be debated, but when one side is fighting tooth and nail against anything the other side is trying to do, the other side will change tactics to accomplish the tasks. In this case they are more proactive in going out to find illegals

overstaying her green card and it took two years to get her back, but we knew what she did and it is what it is. She did things the right way and came back. I welcome anyone that goes through the proper processes. I know first hand the process is difficult, but it also cannot be easy.

and they have three more years to show progress. Next is illegal immigration. Many of my colleagues and I agree that we should not allow people to just come in, like we do not just let someone come into our own home simply because they want a place to stay. My mom was deported once for

that the countries finances are whacked out. Similar to taking stock of our personal finances and making adjustments and cut backs to avoid issues, the government has to scale things back and cut a lot of spending, especially if there is no direct benefit to America. The jury is out on that still

from Europe, I have lived in countries like Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, I grew up poor, and I worked in a hospital for over twenty years. So using my real world experience that has shaped what I support.
First, is the security of the country, fiscally, border, resources, etc. Both parties have recognized

I do not mind. I believe we all need to have civil discourse, which has been eroded by the extremes of both sides. We have to be willing to talk, accept trying ideas out and if they do not work, try another idea, etc.
In relation to my own views I am prefacing by saying that my mom is an immigrant

Supposedly income has increased 4% and stayed ahead of this inflation, but that is little solace since it does not catch up to the large increase under Biden's term. Not saying Biden was specifically at fault, most was Covid related, but some due to policy.

I understand. Grocery is high for the whole country. From 2020 to 2024 food CPI rose 23.6%, a very large increase for a four-year span. The majority of prices increased during that time span, but has slowed down from roughly 9% yearly to 2.2%. The prices cannot be attributed to this administration.

There is no comparison of the country now to any other historical fascist regime or authoritarian regime.
November 11, 2025 at 3:41 AM
I am sorry, but I do not see a threat of that happening. Not even close. My brother is a history and politics teacher and we discussed this extensively. I have also lived in Turkey and Kyrgyzstan as a teen.

There is no one-party state, no abolition of elections, no state ideology requiring total submission.
The government structure under Trump did not exert total control over economy, media, or military in the way historical fascist regimes did.
So good luck with that.

The administration does not come close to the structural, systematic, or other features that define historical fascist regimes. The U.S. still has an independent judiciary, opposition parties, free media, and actual institutional resistance.

We are not even close to being a fascistic country. Grow up.

The economy is far from tanked. You seem to be someone else that only screams the sky is falling regarding anything the Republicans do, no matter how small or potentially good for the country. Good luck.
November 11, 2025 at 3:21 AM
It is a complete stretch to call the Republicans fascist. You also seem ignorant to what true fascism is.

Lol. Good luck with that comparison.

If I may suggest, I found the Iams brand cat food to be very beneficial and healthy over other brands, for weight and hairballs.

True. I feel I challenged at times trying to be logical about everyone's decisions, but humans are such a crazy enigma. I try to focus on only those things I can control in my own life and talk as sensibly and civilly as possible with others. If the person chooses not to, I move on.

Recently I became a young grandpa. I am thinking of letting my son and grandson have Bella since they only live five minutes away and, being superstitious in a sense, I feel Bella would be a great protector and companion to him.
