Same issue. Average real estate listing there looks like this. You can bet she's hearing screaming from her constituents about it.

I think it was, but I really think it comes down to councillors like Myers being spoiled by downtown residents basically giving up on the streetcar system, so they don't hear complaints about it. They did not anticipate this level of backlash. They overhyped the line and now they have to fix it.

Not denying that politicians of all 3 provincial parties use the spectre of congestion pricing to rile up their voters, but the 905 would not be directly impacted by it in real life.

Very few 905ers actually drive into Toronto's Financial District (which is where all the traffic jam hysteria focus is for some reason), most of that opposition actually comes from the same Torontonians who got the Jarvis bike lanes removed.

Okay and I'm sorry, a new apartment building is, “substandard housing"? The majority of low rise houses in Kensington are *actually* substandard housing. Where do I go to oppose them?

But what if I don't like the vibes of students? In an area that's walking distance to two universities?

One of the most spectacular Bay Street law burnouts of a generation.

I mean this seriously, why spend money to fly staff to Vienna for them to come back here and say Toronto can't do things like Vienna for x y z reasons? Save the money.

Honestly I think Chow just has to fire the guy at Transportation Services who made the decision, Roger Browne I think. If you embarrass the mayor to this level you should lose your job I'm sorry.

A pilot project? 😂

Enforcement is always an issue. Even if you look at regular motorcycle riders, I would say about a quarter of them are unlicenced or uninsured.

She'll have to ask transportation staff to dig up that TSP report that they promised this month. Hopefully it's not another Yonge-Eglinton pedestrian scramble type report. It's all so silly though. She can literally just order them to change signals.

Mayor said she'll fix the signal priority which is a good development

Finally landlords are being less greedy.

No one tell their lead-footed bus drivers (not complaining). I think there are multiple factors. My crank theory is that the TTC thought that council would replace the old streetcars with buses and they have never forgiven them for that.
