I guess those of us who appreciate the massive impact this disease has had and continues to have on our communities will just have to get louder, and hold this government even more accountable, as they cut funds for those in need. This is outrageously offensive and mean-spirited.

Also, thanks for the reminder, Patti Smith, and Fred “Sonic” Smith. We have the power.

And to be reminded that we have the power and need to use it. Thanks to Fred, too, for this one.

And it was incredible to see Smith do a powerful, updated version of “Horses” wherein our poor Johnny, whom the angel asks if he can show “nothing but surrender,” confronting environmental degradation and global wars, incl in Gaza, and to see this artist in full control of her power.

She blew me away tonight.
