And all animals
I only use that old timer for on/off; I use the metronome to time exposures. Plate glass in the brown paper on baseboard for contacts. Two safelights, one red LED in a clamp-on shop light, and an old amber (not trustworthy yet) and I block that window. Works pretty well.

I mentioned it a while ago, but not really. Beseler 67C enlarger with Rodenstock Apo-Rodagon. Took some work to align, but it’s like new. The picture of the enlarger is basically the entire darkroom! I put trays on the counter, wash in the sink; chem stash in a closet, lemon juice bottles for chems.

Thanks - I’ll get ‘em right soon, I think. I’ve never done any selenium toning but will start testing that prob in 10 days or so. Then getting off these RC papers I got for tests and back to good ol’ fiber base prints.

Wow!

Like Mao promising China’s bright days ahead while 70M died of famine, death by a thousand cuts, torture.

A story I did not want to read but am glad I did because you write damn well.

Lovely photograph. And living up to that MP!

She wanna be whorin’ and is living up to the ambition.

True. She does indeed consider herself the proprietor of a vast swath of Vermont woodland, though she is magnanimous enough to permit other dogs to walk there, too.

Too bad she forgot to bring a flag to plant on the summit!

A Chipmunk! Fun plane to fly.

I remember listening to this while artillery shells were coming down in Burma.

Wait — so is this a photograph of a photograph of a photograph?

Great portrait of a pear.

Fuck! What a shot.

Yup. The vibe makes the shot so good.

Beauty.
November 23, 2025 at 7:18 PM
What a great shot.

Yes, I know the film will be fine for what I’m doing, but a lot of what I’ve done in the past really needs fresh film, namely traveling for long periods in bad conditions. Hell, for 16mm film for docs in jungle we’d place orders in advance to get brand spanking new film, SOP for everyone.
November 23, 2025 at 7:08 PM
I don’t think of returning it. I would if I needed the film for a trip somewhere where it would be under stress, though.
November 23, 2025 at 7:05 PM
Yes, I understand. My being miffed is because many retailers simply let you know that what they’re selling is short-dated, which is the right thing to do. eg. if you’re buying film for a long trip in rough conditions, you want FRESH film.

Pshaw. The task demands a fountain pen.
