When Chris talked to me at VF three year ago, here's what he said about discovering Alzheimer's lurking in his own DNA.

“My concern was I just didn’t want to manipulate it and overdramatize it, and make it into some sort of hokey grab at empathy ... It’s not like I’ve been handed my resignation.”

Chris shared his fears, his hopes, his history and his family's photographs. Among them was this one:

“A lot of people, especially people who have grown up with him, say, ‘Oh gosh, you look just like your dad,’” Chris tells me. “And there's certain photos where *I* kind of double-take at times.”
