I keep seeing this Base44 ad where some office rando says "I just made a budgeting app" and while the coders scoff the boss asks if it can write reports. A VIBE CODED BUSINESS BUDGETING APP, this is the sales pitch they CHOSE to present for their service.

I am racking my brain trying to figure out how senate Dems lose out on a "either you adopt our restrictions on DHS or DHS stops getting paychecks" negotiating position, but I'm prepared to be surprised/enraged.

I am racking my brain trying to figure out how senate Dems lose out on a "either you adopt our restrictions on DHS or DHS stops getting paychecks" negotiating position, but I'm prepared to be surprised/enraged.

I encourage anyone presenting anything for AMS annual to record their presentation and just upload it to YouTube. A ton of people were not able to make it to see your work, and AMS charges a rapacious $570 fee for virtual attendance (!!).

So far I'm impressed with Claude as a coding assistant, it is very good at taking my garbage scripty-code and turning it into something with proper classes and exception handling.
But there's something about its whimsical verbiage ("twisting...", "smooshing..." etc.) that is off-putting.

I'm watching commentary on RaptureTok and I can't help but see crossovers to this brand of wishcasting. And like the Rapture, it doesn't matter how many times a date comes and goes without The Event happening, a new date will emerge.
