It’s hated!?! Also this was just called “The Grinch” in the UK but there’s almost no evidence online of it being anything other than “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and I finally understand why Mandela effect people are the way they are.

Good point! I guess the whole point of downloads is that it lets you listen however you want, so it would be cool if they just packaged both versions in each download.

I’d love an option to download a complete episode as a single file!

All your downloads come as a dozen separate files, one for each chapter. It means there’s actually not much flexibility at all because I need a single file if I’m gonna move it to another device. And that means combining them all together myself.

I am forever grateful for Big Finish’s model and your firm stance on this. Aside from the importance of ownership, it’s great that providing direct downloads gives us flexibility in how and where we listen. HOWEVER.

Have you ever thought about doing anything like this? Or thought about doing any kind of interactive learning on the Crash Course site? (Sorry for the obnoxiously long thread—EdTech sparks something annoying in me, evidently!)

Obviously Classroom is an enterprise product and designed to work with real-life classes rather than something totally open like Masterclass or Skillshare, but I just think there’s opportunity there somewhere.

It wasn’t hugely time consuming to create but the end result was a genuinely brilliant teaching resource. I can imagine the same would be true of other Crash Course series.

The videos themselves are dense and informative, and with Classroom I was able to intersperse related videos and film clips in a pre-determined order for my students, and I was able to add multiple quiz questions to each video.

I teach film and last year I put together an entire independent study course on Classroom using Crash Course’s film course and it made an AMAZING resource.

Do you have a preference either way on which you’d rather we use? Congratulations by the way! 😁
