I play a lot of video games, mostly platformers of the 3D variety. I also do YouTube where I review said video games.

The Knuckles infinite jump glitch is also back in that game.

I think you will too. I've heard plenty of people say they liked Sunshine way more on their second run.

On a personal level, most of what you complained about are things that would never even stand out to me as issues, because I know the game way too well.

Yeah, I was thinking a lot of what you were saying is the kind of thing people would say about the Sonic Adventure games. I'm glad you see that too, and I hope you enjoy the game way more whenever you do give it another playthrough.

I don't prefer the ROM hack Mario Sunburn, but going off your replies, it sounds like you might. Maybe give that a try at some point. Knowing the game better would definitely mitigate a lot of your issues too, which you obviously would if you do choose to try that.

That's a shame. What's frustrating you specifically?

I've been waiting on Sonic Racing CrossWorlds to go on sale on Steam.

I have my money waiting for a sale on Steam, Sega. Very weird they're excluded.

A friend of mine gifted me $30 to help me out. It's extremely nice of them, but it also means I have to buy directly from Steam.

This logo is a million times better.

Yeah, I liked it more than most modern episodes, but it was probably still a 6 out of 10 for me. I loved the art though.

I really liked that recent CG short. It wasn't particularly funny, but it was really creative and the animation was gorgeous.

I love what they've been doing, especially with this game, but I love collect-a-thons too, so I kinda agree. I think there's plenty of merit to the linearity, and they're probably more approachable to young kids, so I get it.

Seeing something closer to the structure of BfBB would still be amazing.

I played the second level, and it was a lot more linear with fewer side objectives, but it also had some of the best platforming I've seen in a SpongeBob game.
November 19, 2025 at 8:59 AM
It's a mix of both. The game still takes you on a linear path with plenty of cutscenes on the way, but it also has way more open ended areas with side objectives to do. The rewards still aren't as good as I want them to be, but it works really well on a gameplay level.

That sucks, but I'm really loving it so far, and I think you will too when you do finally have the time to play it.
