Imagine one of these companies actually igniting a war over these kinds of posts.

There’s also extreme power in the ability to humorously shake your head at something someone put hours or months into.

I remember seeing a post that said something along the lines of “a five-minute shitty photoshop done in the heat of the moment will always be infinitely funnier than anything AI could do.” It’s one of the things that makes those TV images so funny

That’s fair. I do find it funny the kind of place those two books have in popular culture given their concepts are interesting.

But it has animals! Cartoony animals are totally for kids! /s

In all seriousness tho I do think Animal Farm serves the same purpose as 1984 serves for older audiences, which is an easily digestible tale of how communism is bad. I’ve only read 1984 so I can say much about Animal Farm.

Whenever I see Palantir I imagine these guys trying to convince people that they are not Denethor. It’s the fantasy Torment Nexus.

Bro that small bit of him lifting the lanyard is the most life I’ve seen in man’s body. It’s such toddler energy

I’m starting to think that the whole simulation thing wasn’t a theory, but a goal, and these men believe themselves to be the gods of it.

While not exactly the Segway, I remember years ago watching a whole family riding by on their hoverboards. It was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced

I’ve started to go to the coffee shop to write and it’s done wonders for me actually getting it done. It’s a great feeling

I’m not sure if you’re mentioning BE here but in my opinion, from before I left Twitter, his takes can be good but he is totally “bad vibes”. He thrives on callouts and fighting and will not give an ounce of slack even with supposed “friends” or “allies”. He cannot survive without Twitter.

Stilt Shiver from Vintage Story.

I kind of feel the same with Crusader Kings 2. That game has too many pop-up windows for me.

The brute force is also necessary to keep it all from crashing. By more chips to keep NVidia afloat, so NVidia can keep AI companies afloat, so AI companies can keep NVidia afloat. It’s difficult to optimize in a system built for profits-first

I remember this one channel, Historian Civilis, that covered the post-Caesar dropping a video about the “tyranny of the clock”, and these types of people acting shocked as if every single video wasn’t about the failures and grotesqueness of the Roman leadership
