I was not able to register for Birmingham regionals.
Decided I'm gonna go to the Birmingham regionals in January. Short drive away + cheap hotel nearby, feels like it could be a good time.

Honestly after yesterday's news of not getting that job, I actually feel a lot better today. Kinda just feels like I'm not waiting on anything now so I can get on with stuff. Not sure what I'll do for myself next though.

Update: I didn't get the job.
Another week+ has gone by. Still no communication. This shit fucking sucks man. Spend months revising also buy a suit and do a whole day of intensive exercises, but we're not gonna even give you the pleasure of a stock 'too bad fucko' email.
Still haven't heard back from this so safe to assume I did not get the job and spent a day stressed as hell and working hard just to get ghosted 👍

also I apologise but you will see me do a lot of TGA-posting. i understand why most people don't enjoy it, but for me it's a great excuse to talk about games with people and reflect on the year. fwiw i think the show in recent years has been much better too.

I went 6/6 on predicting the TGA GOTY nominees this year yippee but my personal GOTY isn't on there as per usual (it's Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for the 7th year in a row)

Xenoblade 3 just got put on a 33% sale if you haven't played it already - it's my favourite game of all time and ofc I recommend it.
i had a piece in my mind for a while to talk about how clair obscur and xenoblade 3 tackle a very similar subject in two different ways but i know that 99% of people playing e33 would never want to even read about xc3 (and how I think it tackles the themes better)

clair obscur deserves GOTY but i will say the staggering amount of people glazing every aspect of it because they didn't have anime to put them off and had the story explained to them on youtube makes it really hard to actually discuss
