The team filled their coffers with 9 million more

With the sale of Oluwaseyi...

He was the pride of the Canadian side

I think #MNUFC needs The Ballad of Tani Oluwaseyi to the tune of The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald.

"The scoreless night in Burgundy's city..."

"At 9pm on a pitch their captain called broken

---
"13 goals could have been 14 more, Tani was a striker well seasoned. "

Help!

I felt the SMASH was achieved, the GRAB was cleared off the line.

(Offseason pods can sometimes be the most fun, keep at it!)

Dreyer took his one chance. We don't have a player of that pedigree. That was the difference.

Hopefully in the summer we can splash.

Fair point! I think I've lived here more than anywhere else as well.

"technically a transplant" is an understatement for Tom from WI. ;)

Counterpoint, the Buffalo Bills.

So many generic MN shirts for sure!
November 25, 2025 at 12:36 AM
Do they?
November 25, 2025 at 12:35 AM
Wes, maybe *this* is why transplants aren't ever fully embraced in MN! Even when we adopt a local team and wear the gear, it's just seen as odd.

Living near here the last few years, can confirm this is a bad intersection, for walking and driving. Dale is the worst street for safety, cars fly down it. Glad its going to get rebuilt and converted to a 4 > 3, sooner the better!

SD is too stuck in their ways to give the Loons the ball, which can only mean one thing....

SMASH AND GRAB!!! LOONS MOVE ON. TEAM OF DESTINY.

LOONS VS NYCFC AT ALLIANZ IN DECEMBER. BRING IT.

I suppose I'd rather play CCC teams earlier in the season than later.

Maybe? I might be reading that wrong.

I noticed we are playing every weekend from the start of the season to the World Cup, then every weekend through the last game in Nov.

That means 4-5 matches played through INTL dates without a full roster of players.

Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President

(the series barely got into the medicine/inventions part, which is a third of the book)

Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President
The inspiration for the Netflix series Death by Lightning – now streaming! • NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The extraordinary account of James Garfield's rise from poverty to the American presidency, and the dramatic history of his assassination and legacy, from the bestselling author of The River of Doubt. "Crisp, concise and revealing history.... A fresh narrative that plumbs some of the most dramatic days in U.S. presidential history." —The Washington Post James Abram Garfield was one of the most extraordinary men ever elected president. Born into abject poverty, he rose to become a wunderkind scholar, a Civil War hero, a renowned congressman, and a reluctant presidential candidate who took on the nation's corrupt political establishment. But four months after Garfield's inauguration in 1881, he was shot in the back by a deranged office-seeker named Charles Guiteau. Garfield survived the attack, but became the object of bitter, behind-the-scenes struggles for power—over his administration, over the nation's future, and, hauntingly, over his medical care. Meticulously researched, epic in scope, and pulsating with an intimate human focus and high-velocity narrative drive, The Destiny of the Republic brings alive a forgotten chapter of U.S. history.Look for Candice Millard’s latest book, River of the Gods.

If you enjoyed the series, the book its based on is one of my all-time favorite reads. For historical non-fiction it reads like a novel. There was so much in the book that the series just didn't have time for in four episodes.

DC United is another variable, having rivalries with PHL and NYRB, but I have them SE. (Willing trade for more Messi?)
