Arsenal & the Indiana Pacers. A weird combo for a guy from Holland. Loves cats.
If Trossard plays like he did yesterday no one is starting over him. He wasn’t just excellent end product related, he was just excellent. Everywhere.

If we keep up the current points pace we’d end up at 92. That would be enough seeing how many games teams under us have lost so far. I probably expect us between 85 and 90 somewhere based on current play.

This team is so, so deep. Everyone that comes in immediately shows they belong.

The way Calafiori goes off here signals to me Lewis-Skelly should have been on way earlier again. I don’t get that by Mikel still.
November 23, 2025 at 6:23 PM
We need some subs, Mikel. Please. Don’t make the same mistake again. Martinelli or Madueke on at least, and maybe Lewis-Skelly and Ben White.

That’s a clear elbow by Van de Ven. Should be a red for me. So obvious.

Stupid goal to concede. But maybe better at 3-0 when this is all said and done?
November 23, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Please make it 5. Please.

I think we’ve been excellent. Very solid in the duels, some good football, patient but with intent and zip.
November 23, 2025 at 5:17 PM
3 at the back for Spurs. Was likely.
November 23, 2025 at 3:19 PM
At least Calafiori, Madueke and Martinelli are fit/back!
November 23, 2025 at 3:18 PM
If everyone apart from Gabriel, Kai, Gyokeres and Gabriel Jesus are with the squad, I’d see that as a net positive for Arsenal. That means Calafiori is fine, Martinelli, Odegaard and Madueke all return. Of course you’d want a real striker back but we can’t have nice things, apparently.

I think Bruno might be offside.
November 22, 2025 at 6:59 PM
Poor defending by Newcastle that.
November 22, 2025 at 6:56 PM
Yesssss let’s goooo

That Harvey Barnes chance was a shocker but Haaland also almost never misses those.

Sergio Busquets is old and slow. By next month he'll be retired. So how is he still so central to one of the best teams in MLS?

Wrote for The Guardian about trying to measure a famously invisible kind of greatness.
As his career ends in MLS, Sergio Busquets’ small decisions remain perfect
The Spaniard’s style of possession football is not easily defined by stats and data. We tried to do so anyway

Great news! Now a different more viable sponsor than Emirates too in the future and I’m happy.

In my opinion, Liverpool have been far more shit in this game than City have been good. So many gaps, everywhere.
November 9, 2025 at 5:57 PM
How did Gvardiol not get a yellow there?
November 9, 2025 at 5:54 PM
It’s going to be a long title race with a few bounces, I think. We have to trust our depth. It could actually help us in the long run in a weird way that all those attackers are out.
November 9, 2025 at 5:44 PM
City are good. I really like O’Reilly as a player and he has solved some of their problems. They still have issues in midfield and the wings that can be exploited. That’s already shown to be the case. They have deservedly lost three times to mediocre sides (Brighton, Spurs, Villa) because of them.
November 9, 2025 at 5:37 PM
No. It’s the exact same problems. The midfield is poor at controlling games without a magician at RB and the rest defense isn’t athletic enough or smart enough positionally to deal with it anymore. You can change the personnel, you won’t change the problems. That’s a squad wide issue for Liverpool.
City have been very good but this feels weirdly worse for Liverpool than the bad run (which this of course now revives). It feels less explainable, and like a new set of problems have just come up.

It’s a very lucky goal to be fair. But it is a goal. With him? Probably not a coincidence. Deserved goal to. Liverpool have been shit.
November 9, 2025 at 5:01 PM
Correct decision. It’s light but it’s a clear foul. Don’t blame the goalkeeper for that at all, he did what he could. Konate made a mess of it.
