@governorwalz.mn.gov I'd love it if Minnesota had this as a service. Data brokers should be required to register with the state, and the state should make it easy to delist oneself.

Yeah, right? Walz prosecuted this case years ago, got a conviction, and the judge just okayed the initial restitution payment.

I’m not sure if I would have left the system running once I had my mask on, but I think I would have disconnected it once we were visual below 10,000’. I would almost certainly have done the landing (so I could clear the runway), though that’s not a criticism of the pilots at all.

So why keep watching (and posting about it)?

I’m not second-guessing the crew; I think I would have disconnected it on final and landed just so I didn’t tie up the runway for several hours. I certainly would have keyed the mic and let people know that nobody was incapacitated; the ambulance could have been needed elsewhere.

That’s similar to what happened here yesterday. Big wind change as the low came through, falling temps, foul weather. We didn’t have the low overcast, but it snowed quite hard for a time, and then blew it all around.

It's more like crappy code won't be allowed. A dear friend is a professor and his TAs are complaining to him about the terrible AI generated papers they're getting from students. His advice: "grade them." The quality of the product has little to do with the tool you used to produce it.

Nice! I’ve been doing a bunch of TypeScript after some years away from programming. It’s been fun, particularly with LLMs to handle the drudgery so that I can focus on the bits that matter.

Language design has improved tremendously in forty years. You should give Rust or Swift a try. With the latter you can get started in Swift Playgrounds on your iPad.
