My late mother’s apple cranberry pie, cooling tonight on the sideboard, is the queen of all pies. However, I’d gladly try a piece of your award winning sweet potato pie.

We are lucky on College Street in Columbus, MS, to still have neighborhood children who trick-or-treat. 🎃😁

Happy Founders Day to my Alma Mater. On this day in 1885 the first tax supported college for women in the world began classes for 341 Mississippi girls and women. Tuition was free. Every county sent (according to population) its allotment of the best and brightest students.

Friends, if you want to join us tomorrow in front of Representative Trent Kelly’s office to protest the chaotic danger of our current political situation, we meet from noon until one p.m. Peaceful protest changes hearts. Murderous violence destroys a country. Columbus, Mississippi.

Today’s gospel was about a lawyer who questioned Jesus about eternal life. Jesus asked him, “What does the law say?” The lawyer answers, “I should love the Lord my God with all my heart, mind, and spirit, and my neighbor as myself.” This photo was taken at our weekly protest in Columbus, MS.
