But I feel so much fuzzier on other areas. Is there a cohort linking SimCity to MMOs for in-game economy design or is it more SimCity and Minecraft for systems around player-made spaces?

I’d be so curious to see this as a network graph, what games were commonly paired together on lists. I feel Rogue and Nethack are foundational in the Dwarf Fortress and Caves of Qud proc-gen sphere, but also for the modern roguelikes for Spelunky and Slay the Spire.

Propmaster has ‘disorganized’ tag, but thankfully my extra has ‘show must go on!’ and ‘yes, and…’, so when the sugar glass bottle was real, the audience was none the wiser. Unfortunately, that was the matinee and we’ll be down a dancer for the evening performance

A thought this made me have just now that I'm gonna poorly articulate is that VNs are closer to watching theater than they are to books. Even without them being voiced, you've got sets, character blocking, and sound all largely presented outside of the written word.

Doing my bit of wildlife photography, I just have no idea what the motivation is? Bird photography for me is a physical act, the joy of tracking motion and on-the-fly adjustment to the machine. I’m more excited to have the 2nd than the 1st because it captures that tension between body and camera

I’m bothered by the choice of ‘my harvest’. I think there could be a something in progressing beyond the obvious ‘seed’, but nothing comes from it. Like, ‘your harvest’ or ‘our harvest’ would give me something to rotate in my head, but as is, my standard for poetics about swallowing are higher.
