It will involve a full reworking of society, but we should be able to see labor savings like this as a good thing.
It should NOT be our goal to all work for 40 years+.
There are other ways to organize things & a UBI may be an important part of the new way forward.

It SHOULD mean we can all work a little less. How sad that we have to treat every labor saving tech as a threat because of predatory capitalism. We're wrecking the planet and making everyone work harder to make ever more stuff. "The economy" is the least of our problems, and the root of all of them.

True, they can relocate HQ to another state, which is why Delaware has them. States compete to sweeten the deals for the rich at the expense of everyone else.

Really doubtful. Rich people live where they want to live. This argument has been floated for years, threatening us with capital flight. Reminder. Rich people still live in London, Paris, NYC and lots of places with high taxes, extremely high cost of living. None of them feel fiscal pressures.
