I don't have kids of my own but I raised a few. (Auntie/mom). I'm proud of them. Their lives were tough at start (like having a 16 year old mom & no contact dad) but they turned out amazing. Still there is a lot I wish I had done better.

What I've seen is most kids don't have that kind of relationship until they are in their 30's. I've never heard of a parenting approach like yours. I know you are proud of your amazing kids but you really need to give yourself credit also. You should write a parenting book.
