Why must cultural self-preservation be codified? If people love their culture enough, they'll maintain it. Look at Hispanic culture in the States.

The Spanish language has survived in the States for generations, is still strong in many areas and not just due to immigration. Why has the province taken this dystopian route? If Francophones love their culture it will survive without the laws that carry some pretty inane limits.

I try to buy local. But they tried to upsell and told me I needed a whole new Electrical panel (which I did not need) when I wanted to install a generator. That local guy did not get my business. And, My locally owned plumbing store could not make change for a $20 on a $1.20 part I bought.
