I make art about death. But don’t worry, it’s funny the way ‘King Lear’ is funny.
Also writer, inventor, teacher, and malvivant. Toronto & Montréal.
Ah, right, yes, I’ve heard of this. Dissinflation.

Oh, thank god—if there’s one thing Québec doesn’t have enough of, it’s indie brewers… 😂

I was JUST lamenting the lack of complaints about “sucka MCs” these days. Has the number of MCs exhibiting sucka-ism decreased as a proportion of total since 1992? Or is the number of MCs just in recession overall? Or has the threshold by which one becomes a sucka merely increased prohibitively? 🧐

Yeah, dude, tack hard towards the weaknesses!

Shocking how many people eat their potato-leek soup chilled.

My favourite part—and I feel the need to point it out because it was SO artfully subtle—is when she flexes that she was dear leader’s “VIP” guest at the RNC. You can tell she’s gonna try to dine out on that for YEARS…

Of course you are! ‘Tis your right as a British Subject (by affiliation).

My first response was going to be a mock “too soon!” … But of course it isn’t.

Wait, but has the world changed, or have you?

I saw that piece at Fringe, it’s not as dumb as it sounds.

Wait, so Dr. Who exists as a show in Community… but then if Dr. Who and Community are both parts of the Expanded Tommy Westphal Universe, that means the Dr. Who series in Community is actually a documentary…(!)

The administrative class loves and excels at two things: 1) diluting their own responsibility/ies by hiring more of themselves, and 2) making their own jobs less complex by reducing the agency and the number of people doing the actual work the institution is mandated to do (in this case, teaching).

“Disturbing” in the sense that a collection of seashells on the beach is a bivalvic mass-grave? Then, sure, I guess.

I’d argue for Spalding Gray’s inclusion. And Wallace Shawn.

But I’d also argue that’s still “autofiction” but presented as performance rather than on the page. Does “autofiction” for some reason preclude it being something performed? (Genuinely asking, I’m unaware if it does.)

University Administrators: if you think in terms of “customer service”, “retention”, “deliverables”, or “job training”, you are the reason AI is a crisis for post-secondary.

Fellow Faculty: if AI “ruined” the way you teach, your teaching was already ruined.

Institution Boards have turned art colleges into “Universities”, only for the institution to replace the experiential, student-centered learning with hamfistedly-academic curricula on “theory”. (I love theory. But it’s being pursued and promoted as an emblem, not a process.)
